Biographical/Historical Note
Merge Studios was a commercial establishment located in Los Angeles. In addition to their sixteen photographs of Greene &
Greene projects listed in this subseries, Merge Studios produced many of the Leroy Hulbert copy prints described in the subseries,
Photographic Copies of Leroy Hulbert photographs.

In 1911 Edward Savage Crocker and his wife purchased Dr. Crow's house. "It was Crocker who was responsible for doubling the
size of the property by purchasing land to the west of the residence and enhancing it with extensive gardens and outbuildings."
