Description
Presents the International Data Base (IDB), a computerized data bank containing statistical tables of demographic and socio-economic data for 228 countries and areas of the world. Contains the IDB online total population aggregation and summary demographic data. Allows users to download the IDB program and data. Notes that the IDB was created in the International Programs Center of the U.S. Census Bureau. Lists the type of data available in the IDB, such as migration, marital status, literacy, labor force, income, and ethnicity. Covers 1950 to present with projections to 2050.
