The History School Life Imperial Life

From its foundation in 1802 as a military school until 1917, the corps graduated 4,505 pages. An additional 200 were unable to complete their course because of the revolution. The course of training of the Corps of Pages consisted of two sections: the "general" and the "special" classes, which corresponded to a cadet school and an officers' training course. The first took on boys, mainly from other cadet corps, from the age of 10-11, so that after the seven year of schooling, they could join the "special" class.
