Requires headphones to hear sound. Personal stereo headphones will work, or check out a pair of headphones from the Area Studies suite, Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00. Use the loose headphone jacks, not the ones built into the CD drive.

Location Information

LEHMAN AREA STUDIES:
The Area Studies Workstation is located right outside the entrance to the Area Studies suite, at the back of the 3rd floor of Lehman Library. These CDs are not networked and may be accessed only on the Area Studies workstation. All of these CDs are installed on the workstation and may be opened by double-clicking on the appropriate icon on the desktop. In some cases you may need to obtain the CD from the Area Studies suite, and use it in the CD drive of the workstation. Requests for CDs kept inside the Area Studies suite must be made between Monday-Friday, 9:00-5:00, unless special arrangements are made with the appropriate Area Studies Librarian. The workstation is available whenever Lehman Library is open.

CD-LAN:
Network of CDs available throughout the campus via special workstations located in most library reference departments. Access to the CD-LAN is also available through the Area Studies Workstation. In addition, some CD-LAN titles can be accessed on LibraryWeb if you are using a LibraryNet Station. More information about CD-LAN titles, and locations from which they may be accessed.

Please contact the appropriate Area Studies Librarian for assistance. The Area Studies Suite is open Monday-Friday, 9:00-5:00. Contact information for the Area Studies Librarians is posted on the bulletin board over the workstation, and is also available on the Area Studies STAFF page.

General Questions:
Ask a Reference Librarian for help if you have a general question about Library resources.
You may request more paper for the Area Studies workstation printer at the Lehman Circulation or Reference Desks if no one is available to assist you in Area Studies.
