In April of 1999, I created the web site called Africabib.org. This site
contains two Africana databases and a web document. The two databases
are: "The African Women's Bibliographic Database" which contains over
25,000 citations from 1986 to the present and the "Bibliography of
Africana Periodical Literature Database" that indexes over 340 periodical
titles from their first day of publication. This database contains over
41,000 citations.

Africabib.org also contains the first comprehensive bibliography on women
travelers to Africa. It is called, "Women, Travellers, Explorers
and Missionaries to Africa, 1763-1999: A Comprehensive English Language
Bibliography."

Access to Africa.bib.org is free as is the use of the
data contained in its databases and document.
