I teach graduate courses on Africa in World Affairs, Turbulence and
Conflict in International Affairs, Development and Democracy-Africa,
Advanced Seminar In African Affairs, The Lusophone World, and Revolution
and Nationalism.
Fluent in Portuguese, working knowledge of Spanish, French, Arabic and German.
Main focus of research - The Lusophone World.
Other research: Liberation Studies, Religion in Africa, and Massacres
Published works in all three areas. See especially: Warriors At Work:
how Guinea was really set free. (Niwot: University Press of Colorado, 1993).
Other activities:
Consultancy work in conflict resoltuion, instructional design media,
electronic publishing, program development, analysis, review, and
proposals; strategic planning, and enrollment management. Also award
winning sculptor, exhibition standard works.
