Teaching interests:
(i) South African and (introductory) African history;
(ii) modern European history, including Comparative Fascism, Modern
Germany, and Europe 1914-1945;
(iii) undergraduate overseas research seminar on World War II in National
Archives, Kew, London
Current research interests:
politics of AIDS in South Africa; Allied responses to Axis and pro-Axis
activities in South Africa during World War II; Afrikaner nationalism
(especially in 1930s and 1940s)
