Zimbabwe, first two generations of white occupation, 1890-1930, colonial
construction of knowledge, witchcraft, comparative law, gender issues,
language and translation issues, development of anthropological expertise.

Teaching:  
Anglophone West African history, 18th and 20th centuries; culture of
African diaspora (music, religion, folklore, language); critical
understandings of twentieth century science; colonial agricultural policy;
colonial medical policy.
