I have been working for 17 years in Guinea (West Africa) as teacher in
secondary school (3 years), then at the Institut Pedagogique National(from
1981 to 1995). In Guinea, I have been in charge of the National Teachers
In-Service Training , the National Division of Textbooks and Teaching
Materials, and the Division of Educational Research. I have been involved
in framing, planing, and implementing the PASE in Guinea, and I was in
charge of the 4th component of the program. I have been involved in
writing textbooks for elementary and secondary schools, and I was member
of the team which developped the "African thematic and visual dictionary."

I am in the US under a sponsorship and pursuing a Masters and probably a
Ph.D. My area of interest is policy and curriculum, especially the
linkages between national policy and the classroom. I have been working
with many peers from West Africa. I am able to communicate well in French
and in English. In addition, I speak Fulani, Mandingo, Susou, and Kissie.
