Theoretical Interests:

My main interests are the study of war and social change, perception of
war among rural civilians, Anthropology of Religion, Anthropology of War
and Violence, Anthropology of the Senses.

My regional interest is the Horn of Africa. I have done a total of 30
months of fieldwork in Eritrea.

I am currently writing my Ph.D. thesis on war and social change in
Eritrea. I expect to finish primo 2003.
