Research interests in the Horn of Africa, particularly Ethiopia; 
currently involved in a research project related to the Italo-Ethiopian
War of 1935-41; other interests include ethnicity and democratization in
Africa. 

I teach courses on World History, Africa, and the Middle East in addition
to a course involving Current Events. 

Involved with RU's Office of International Programs and effort to
internationalize the college curriculum.
