Dr. Obioma Nnaemeka, an Associate Professor of French, Women's Studies and
African American Studies at Indiana University at Indianapolis, is the
current President of the Association of African Women Scholars. Her
research and teaching interests include French/Francophone literatures,
cultures and civilization; multi-cultural education, oral and written
literatures of Africa and the African Diaspora, feminist theory,
postcolonial discourse, cultural studies, women in development, global
feminisms, women in non-Western cultures, and Black women writers. 

Dr. Nnaemeka combines research and consultancy for foreign governments,
international agencies, and academic institutions with speaking
engagements and active participation in national and international
conferences and programs. She has published numerous books, scholarly
articles, and chapters in books in all areas of her research/teaching
interests.
