Dr. Oyeniyi obtained his postgraduate degrees from the University of 
Ibadan.  His research and teaching interests include: Conflict Resolution, 
African History and Strategic Studies.

He has published extensively on African History, Conflict Resolution, 
especially in plural societies in scholarly journals, encyclopedias, 
text-books, etc.

His most recent works featured in Toyin Falola & Amanda Warnock, The Encyclopaedia
of Middle Passage, Greenwood Publishing Group, NJ, USA, 2006 ; -and- 
Toyin Falola and Niyi Afolabi, Human Cost of African Displacement and 
Migration, Africa World Press USA, 2007.

He is currently involved with the Nordic African Institute, Sweden, in a 
project on "Informalising Economies and Organising Strategies in Africa."
