Dr. Nooter Roberts conducts research, writes, and organizes museum
exhibitions with her spouse, Allen F. Roberts, such as _Memory: Luba Art
and the Making of History_ (1996, that won the College Art Association's
Alfred Barr Award; currently working with Allen F. Roberts on "'Passport
to Paradise': Sufi Arts of Senegal and Beyond," an NEH-funded exhibition
which opened in February 2003 (See: http://www.fmch.ucla.edu/passporttoparadise.htm) ;
doctoral research in Zaire/DRCongo, also interested in cultural dynamics
of the Indian Ocean World.
