I am pursuing a Ph.D. in African History at Columbia University.  My
research interests are in the history of Christianity in southern Africa,
with a focus on the interactions between late nineteenth-century
metropolitan missionaries and the first generation of African Christians.
I have studied African-missionary encounters in Botswana, Zimbabwe and the
eastern Cape Province (South Africa).
