April 1995 a Member of the British Society for Middle Eastern Studies,
(BRISMAýES) and Europe Society.
11th September 1996 onward a Member of the council of Department of
(Shari'ah) and the Faculty of Islamic studies, University of Brunei
Darussalam.


Regarding the outline of research and teaching interest, my AREAS OF
INTEREST are Islamic jurisprudence, Islamic Studies, comparative legal
theory (Islamic and others), family law, ethics and public policy,
feminist theory and human rights (including women's rights), general
Islamic and non issues, Islamic History and Civilisation in general,
Islamic Theology and philosophy, Islamic medieval Text, and Arabic
Language and various genres of classical Arabic Literature etc. 

1-1980 1983, teaching Islamic Law and Arabic language and literature
(part-time) at General and Secondary School levels, Saudi Arabia (part-time).
2-1985 1986, teaching Islamic Law and Arabic language and literature full
time at Secondary School level, Saudi Arabia.
3-1987 1989, teaching Islamic Law and Arabic at University of Sana'a, Yemen
Republic, and other centres of study in Yemen.
4-October 1992-1996, teaching Islamic studies and "Comparative
Jurisprudence"  in Sana'a University, Yemen.
5-October 1994-1996, appointed as an academic adviser for the Faculty of
Education, Sana'a University, Yemen.
6-October 1995-1996 appointed as an academic and student adviser and of the
university of Yemen, Hodeidah and teaching ( part-time).
7-23rd of July 1996 appointed as a lecturer of  Islamic studies and
"Comparative Jurisprudence" (Shari'ah)  in  the university of Brunei Darussalam.

Academic Research

A- Most of my researches have been written in Arabic Language, some of them
listed below: 
1- "Principles of proper pleading in the Islamic Law" has been published in
the proceeding of the first academic conference held under the auspices of
the academic staff association of the Universities of Sanaa and Aden, held
on 16-19/12/1993.
2- "The comparative juristic study and its impact on the development to the
legislation for the Arab and Islamic nation, (comparative juristic study)" and
3- "The judiciary in the pre-Islamic and Islamic period, (comparative
juristic study)", published in the journal of the faculty of Education,
Sana'a University.
4- "Position of judiciary, its pillars and its conditions in the Islamic law
(comparative juristic study)" and
5- "The rules of judiciary in Islamic Law, (comparative juristic study)",
published the Journal of Yemeni Studies.
6- "The Islamic Culture: between the concept and the content", published in
the journal of Al-Islam, faculty of Islamic Studies, University of Brunei
Darussalam, issu, 2, 1996.
7- "Legislation" and "Jurisprudence"  in Arabic Literature and Islamic
Juristic Tradition", published in the journal of Al-Islam, faculty of
Islamic Studies, University of Brunei Darussalam, issu, 3, 1997.
8- "The Educational Theories for Teaching the Islamic knowledge of  the
Islamic Scholars": Ikhwan al-Safa, al-Ghazaly, al-Tusi, Ibn Jama'ah, and Ibn
Khuldun, with an analytical study, published in the journal of Al-Islam,
faculty of Islamic Studies, University of Brunei Darussalam, issu,4, 1997.

1- "The Judicial Procedure and the Juristic Theory of Islamic Litigation:

Adab al-qada'a" Proposed paper has been presented in the twelfth annual

18-19 April 1997, USA.
3- "The construction of the Judicial System in Islamic Jurisprudence:
Al-Khassaf, Al-Mawardi and Al-Ghazzi",  Proposed paper has been presented in
the (BRISMES) conference on 1997 International Conference on Middle East,
Re-Thinking Islam, 6th-9th July 1997, (St Catherine's College, the
University of Oxford, UK.
