DESCRIPTION OF YOUR WORK

I am an Assistant Professor of Linguistics (General Linguistics) at Kuwait
University. As a bilingual researcher in both English and Arabic, my field
of interest and my publications have focused on the intermarriage of
language, culture, and communication. Arabic rhetoric and English rhetoric
in cross-cultural context constitute the focal point of my research interest
for a number of years. I have also published in the area of Arabic into
English and English into Arabic translation.  Among my recent publications are: 
 = Clause and Tonality: A case study of the relationship between grammar and
intonation; 
 = An Investigation of the Correlation Between Language Proficiency,
Cultural Awareness and Rhetorical Performance of ESL Learners;
 =   Rhetorical Transfer Across Cultures: English into Arabic and Arabic
into English; 
 =  Writing and Writing Behavior;
 =  Cross Cultural Communication: International business letters; 
 =  Contrastive Rhetoric in the Contemporary Linguistic Theory;
In addition, I have just published a series of textbooks under the title "A
Course in Translation: English into Arabic & Arabic into English". Copies of
