Mohammed Aman is the Editor-in-Chief of the Digest of Middle East Studies
(DOMES), Dean and Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School
of Library and Information Science. He writes, lectures and consults on the
politics and foreign relations of Egypt and the Arab Gulf States. Professor
Aman was on the staff on the Arab League's delegation to the United Nations
in New York City, the Egyptian Ministry of Information and consultant to the
Arab League, UNESCO, USIA, USAID, UNIDO and several Arab governments and
universities. He has lectured in several Arab countries on information
policy issues and higher education planning and organization. He is the
author of several books published in the U.S., Cairo and Kuwait and more
than 100 articles, book chapters, and technical reports. Dr. Aman received
his BA (with honors) from Cairo University, Egypt; master's degree from
Columbia University; and doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh. He is
a member of the Middle East Studies Association, the American Library
Association, and the Egyptian-American Scholars Association. He has been
honored by many American and foreign academic and professional associations.
