al-Kazim and Ali al-Rida").

Areas of interest: 
* Early Shi'ism (from the Prophet until the Occultation), in general, the 
heresiology (covering also this period), in particular. 
* Proto-Ismailis, the Ismaili da'wa mission and its organisation. 
* Wahhabism in the twentieth century, particularly in Saudi Arabia. This 
interest includes  Abd al-Aziz Ibn Sa'ud, the Ikhwan Movement of Najd, 
Wahhabism as a political tool, the state and religion in Saudi Arabia, 
Shaykh Ibn Baz and his ideas, Juhayman al-Utaybi and his uprising in Mecca 
in 1979, Shi'i minority in Saudi Arabia.
