Specialization in Russian policy towards the Middle East as a whole,
including Arab-Israeli zone, the Persian Gulf, North Africa, Central Asia
and the Transcaucasus.  A second specialization in Israeli politics and
the Arab-Israeli peace process. Sub-disciplines include religion and
politics in Israel, political cleavages in Israeli politics, the politics
of Central Asia and the Transcaucasus.
