I work as a scholar in the field of the Semitic languages at the
Department of Asian and and African Languages at the University of
Uppsala, Sweden. So far, I have published papers within the field of
Hebrew, Ugaritic, Arabic dialectology, and comparative Semitic
linguistics. Early in my academic career, I also worked as a teacher at
the department of Mathematics at the University of Stockholm.  As I am
responsible for the computer equipment (PC, not Mac) at my department, I
early encountered the problem with multilingual computing. And since then
the use of computers in Semitic research and teaching has always been one
of my main interests.
