I am a university instructor,a television producer/director. My areas of
interest are the Middle East, culture and communication, cultural studies,
satellite broadcasting for the Arab world. For the past three years, I was a
co-creator and executive producer of Lebanon's first Arabic sitcom.
Simultaneously, I have maintained the position of sports producer and
special events director at Murr Television. My duties included: directing
concerts for the likes of Vanessa Mae and Boy George; Sports events such
as the 17th Pan Arab Volley-Ball Club Championship, organizing beauty
pageants such the Supermodel of the World.

While maintaining a heavy professional work load, I was seriously involved
in teaching at the Lebanese American University (member New York Board of
Education). Prior to that, I taught at the Notre Dame University, Lebanon.
I teach television production and Commercials/Corporate video production,
the only course covering advertising production at Lebanese Universities.

Previously, I was a production consultant with Music Now, a channel
provided by Orbit Communications Company, Italy. My duties included
developing music shows as well as advising on existing programs. I have
had more than nine years of radio and television experience before I
enrolled in graduate school. In radio, I developed strong skills to
program scheduling and producing, whereby I was assistant program director
for two years (1990-1992). Before I moved to television, I produced three
major music videos, as well as some infomercials. At Murr Television, I
assumed several duties including creating and executing over 120
promotional clips. I was promoted to entertainment director and produced a
weekly chart show--the first in the Middle East. Besides, I have worked on
my Masters in Telecommunications at Ohio University.

My areas of expertise are programming and production with special focus on
pre-production.I also audited courses and seminars in satellite
communications, public relations, advertising and media management. These
studies involve pre-production, production, programming and audience
research. Other areas of my interest include advertising (BA minor),
multiculturalism, public relations and computer applications.
