     Women in early medieval Spain (Arabic, Sephardic and Spanish women). 
Issues of iterest include: Education of women, their cultural and social 
activities, and their legal and religious status. The literature and 
ballads in Arabic, Hebrew and Spanish in early medieval Spain (mid. 10th 
cent-mid. 12th cent), esp. in the southern part of medieval Spain, 
refered to as al-Andalus in Arabic sources. Issues related to courlty love 
and the representation of women in literature ( oral and written). Medieval 
feminist critical theory and methodology.
