DESCRIPTION OF YOUR WORK
Archaeology and culture history of the ancient Near East, primarily during
the bronze and iron ages, with a special emphasis on Syria-Palestine.
Currently conducting large-scale excavation at Tell e-Safi, large
multi-period tell in the Shephelah region in Israel. Site, which is
identified as "Gath of the Philistines" (biblical toponym) is one of the
largest Bronze-Iron ages sites in Israel, and was settled from the
Chalcolithic (5th mill. BCE) till the late modern period.
Have dealt and published in various topics, such as: pottery, trade,
Egypto-Levantine relations, Archaeology of Jerusalem, ancient weapons and
warfare, ancient technology.
