Description of my work

Anthropology of the Arab World. I have studied the urban society of Sana'a
(Yemen). The results of this study have been published in a book : Le
Cheikh de la nuit. Sanaa, organisation des souks et societe citadine. 
Arles, Sindbad/Actes Sud, 1997. I am currently working on the anthropology
of Myth in the Arab Culture and precisely through the study of the Arab
Geographers of the Middle Ages. I am also conducting fieldwork in Beirut
(Lebanon) on professional and social organization of publishers and
editors.
