Primary archaeological work in Jordan. Research also in Israel. Worked
ealier in West Bank. Focus at present is the early Bronze Age of ancient
Palestine. Study of mortuary remains and settlement patterns of the early
Bronze Age.  Some speaking ability in Arabic.

Teaching focus on archaeology and Near Estern religions, including ancient
religions, but also Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.  Teaching includes
courses in Biblical Hebrew.
