 As the Middle East Librarian at Columbia University, I am responsible for 
the selection, acquistion and creation of records in CLIO (our on-line 
catalog) for all materials in Arabic, Armenian, Hebrew, Kurdish, Maltese, 
Persian and Turkish.  I am also responsible for the selection of 
materials in all Western languages about the Middle East and North 
Africa. This includes Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Malta, 
Cyprus, Turkey, Kurdistan, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Iran, 
Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Yemen. I share responsibility for 
the Ancient Near East--Babylonia, Assyria, etc.--with our History 
Bibliographer.
