Subject interests or themes of recent/current research:
Indic belles lettres in general and saint poetry, particularly
Marathi,Hindi, English and Sanskrit; analytical and religious philosophy. 

Disciplines: Literature, philosophy,indology, language teaching.

translation of English literature into Marathi; poems, short stories,

Training and background:
B.A. in Sanskrit and Ardhamagadhi, University of Poona. M.A. in Sanskrit
and Pali, University of Poona. Ph.D. in (Western) philosophy of language,
University of British Columbia. Several years of teaching experience, at
first in philosophy in the departments of philosophy at Tufts University
and at the University of British Columbia, more recently in Indian
literature and Hindi language at all levels in the Department of Asian
Studies, University of British Columbia.
