Research interests:
dance and theatre of India in general and in particular Yakshagana of the
Kanara Coast of Karnataka and Krishnattam of Guruvayur, Kerala; folklore,
spirit worship (bhuta), and serpent (Naga)  worship of the southwestern
coast of India (Karnataka [North & South Kanara Districts] and Kerala.
