Description of work:
Occupation: Commercial Translator
Part-time teacher at the University of Oslo.
I have given courses on literary and linguistic statistics
Sanskrit, Hinduism.

Interests: Sanskrit studies, literary and linguistic statistics, Vedic
studies. I am also interested in modern India.

Training and background:

I hold a Ph.D. (Doctor artium) in Sanskrit. I have studied Sanskrit, Hindi
and Middle Indic languages at the Universities of Oslo, Heidelberg and Bonn.
Furthermore, I studied Greek and Latin at the University of Oslo. My
research interests involve stylometry (statistical analysis of the language
and style of Sanskrit texts) as well as Vedic and epic studies. I try to
pursue these interests to the extent that my occupational activities allow.
