I am researching about nationalism and India in reference to the decade 
of the eighties and early nineties. I am using four novels written in 
English by Indian writers, along with journalistic material, published 
during this period, as case studies for discourses on the nation. I will 
be paying particular attention to theoretical material on past 
colonialism, post-development, orientalism and nation-building / 
nationalism.
