Description of work:

My thesis is on gender, sexuality and cultural nationalism in India
roughly from the turn of the twentieth-century to the present.  I work in
popular culture, Hindi films, diaspora Indian popular culture.  I have
taught courses in Asian-American studies, postcolonial studies and
theories and diasporic literature.
