description of work:
I am interested in teaching about Indian immigration, early childhood 
development in India, identity crisis in bicultural youngsters of Indian 
heritage, conflicts and compromises in Indian families, midlife crisis 
among Indian immigrants, first-generation Indian-American problems with 
sexuality, mental illness, cultural values, substance abuse, etc.

I have written and taught about "Immigrant mental health, conflicts and 
compromises in Asian-Indians." I have written and taught about "Arranged 
marriage and its mental health implications." I am a Hindu by religion, 
speak Gujarati and Hindi languages of India, and teach about treatment of 
Hindu patients.
