Classical Indian Philosophy, especially Buddhist logic and epistemology.
Tibetan Philosophy, religious history.
M.A. and PhD-Work specialized on theories of negative cognition
(cognition of "non-existence") in Indian and Tibetan Philosophy.
M.A.Thesis:
Translation and interpretation of Santaraksita's Tattvasamgraha (with
-panjika) 1647-1690 on _abhava_ (revised and published, in German, in
Vienna 1997).
PhD: comprehensive study of post-Dharmakirtian Indian interpretations of
negative cognition (currently being revised for publication in English).
Various small articles on related issues.
Currently engaged in a research-project regarding the
"form-question"/"aspect-problem"
(sakarajnanavada/nirakarajnanavada) in Buddhist epistemology.
Also interested in Asian film studies.
