Description of work:
I am an independent researcher (MA Toronto, MA Guelph, PhD York) whose
1998 dissertation addressed the history and ongoing experience of the
Anglo-Indian community in India. I also write on the Anglo-Indians and
Anglo-Burmese of colonial Myanmar. More contemporary research ventures
pertain to Sri Lankan Tamils, counterinsurgency/anthropology and mental
health sequelae. I continue to be engaged in different topics too,
aligned with international development.
