Description of work:

My teaching covers the religions of Asia. I am, however, an India
specialist, with my main area of research being Saktism in Bengal. I have
published journal articles on Ramakrishna and Ramprasad Sen, and have just
completed a book on Ramprasad (forthcoming).  I speak and use Bengali in
my research.
