Teaching interests:
Courses in literature and society with sepcial reference to South Asia; 
South Asian women writers; women and Buddhism

Research interests:
Translations from Sinhala and to Sinhala of Classical Buddhist texts and 
modern Sinhala literary works. Theatre and performance. Presently 
working on a book on the role of theatre in the context of political 
violence - with special reference to Sri Lanka.
