I am a PhD student of Indian History. My main focus is on
Industrialisation and entrepreneurship in the 19th and early twentieth
century in the Indian Cotton Textile Industry. Key words are: Finance,
Management, Cultural background of industrialists, Parsis, Jains,
Gujaratis, Colonial Rule, Urbanisation. At the Erasmus University of
Rotterdam I teach 'Industrialisation of South Asia' and 'Ethnicity and
Development'.
