Description of work:
My research interests, broadly speaking, span identity politics, security
and governance issues. In 2001, my dissertation research was published as
'State and Nation in South Asia' by Lynne Rienner Publishers. In 2000, a
volume I co-edited with Jeanie Bukowski on decentralization and
centralization processes in nine different cases (six outside South Asia)
was published. I am currently working on two projects: one on gender and
international security and the other on post-conflict issues.
