          Interests: health and development communication; mass media
          interventions; the knowledge-behavior gap, and the role of
          social support and social influence in this gap;
          participatory communication; gender and family in South
          Asia; South Asian mass culture; bridging the gap between
          quantitative and qualitative research methods.

          Research and other relevant experience:
          - field research (in-depth interviews) with mothers and
          health care providers in Delhi slum about nutrition
          knowledge and weaning/feeding practices.
          - consulting on evaluation of UNICEF's Facts For Life
          effort.
