Description of work:

Research interests in nineteenth-century cultural, social, and
intellectual history, and history of science and technology, specifically
relating to Andhra or Telugu culture and South India in general;
Orientalists, missionaries, and civil enginers in nineteenth-century
South India.  Teaching interests in the History of South Asia (mainly
cultural history) and in Asian cultures in general.
