Research interests.
My primary research interests are in Hindi and (New) Indo-Aryan 
languages, linguistics, and literature.  My linguistic work has centered 
around the historical linguistics of Hindi but has sometimes spilled over 
into comparative Indo-Aryan in general.  I am also interested in the 
linguistic and literary analysis of early (and occasionally modern) Hindi 
texts.  In terms of my teaching responsibilities, I have taught courses 
in Hindi, Hindi linguistics, and Hindi literature at the elementary 
through advanced levels.  Topics of current interest to me are New 
Indo-Aryan metrics and Hindi poetry.
