Research interests: The classical culture of Ancient India; Sanskrit
literature, esp. the popular epics (Mahabharata) and Buddhist Sanskrit
manuscripts from Central Asia ; religion: Vedic and Hindu mythology. 

Teaching interests: Sanskrit language and literature.
