description of work:

Mathematics (especially applicable mathematical analysis); history of 
methematics with special reference to India and China; collaborative 
research project with numerous colleagues in South Asia (especially in 
India) and also in Japan, Korea, Vietnam, People's Republic of China, 
Taiwan, etc. Has held Distinguished Visitng Professorships at numerous 
universities and academies in many of these countries.
