Description of work:

I have worked a little as an informant for thamizh -- usually anglicised
as Tamil :-( -- and have also indulged in "private" research into the
structure and function of auxiliary chains in thamizh.  I hope to pursue
this further, and would like to draw parallels between other thamizh and
other dravidian languages such as kannada and malayALam. 

I am also interested in corpora-related work in south Indian languages
(for machine-translation, document retrieval etc). 

I would really like to interact with others who have thought along similar
lines.
