Description of work

My primary focus is the phonology of the Dravidian languages (of south
India), particularly syllable structure.  I have published work on Tamil
and IruLa, and discussed Malayalam also in my dissertation. I'm currently
also looking at Expressive language in Tail.  More generally, I'm
interested in India as a linguistic area, Field Methods, and all aspects
of the grammar of modern Dravidian Languages.
