Description of work:

My work on the Ambedkar movement in Maharashtra has led me into study of
the current Untouchable and Dalit movements, including Dalit literature
and the Buddhist Conversion movement. I have also gone back in time to
the saint-poets of Maharashtra, Eknath of the 16th century and Cokhamela
and his family of the 14th century. My discipline is history, especially
social and cultural history.
