Directions to the Biology Library
From College Walk (the pedestrian boulevard
corresponding to W.116th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam
Avenue), walk up the right (east) side steps of Low Plaza. Continue
on the walkway that runs along the east side of the domed Low
Library Building. After passing Uris Hall's terrace, this
walkway ends at the four door entrance to the fourth floor of the
Mudd Building.
Inside Mudd, take the elevator to the sixth floor. As you exit
the elevator, there are, to the left, double doors that lead to the
Fairchild Building's sixth floor. During off-hours these doors
will open only if you swipe your valid Columbia I.D. in the
cardswipe on the wall just to the right.
Once through these doors, go down the ramp and bear left. Follow
the hallway. Just after two swinging doors at the end of this hall
you will see the library entrance on the right.
Note: The library is open to Columbia affiliates only. Those
without a valid Columbia I.D. should first visit the Library
Information Office (LIO) in room 201 of Butler Library, for
information on library privileges and access.
