New! Circulating DVD Collection

You asked for it, and now we are happy to announce our new circulating DVD collection. These popular feature films were a gift from Kim's Media upon the closing of the Broadway store in 2008.

Current students and staff from Columbia University and its affiliates (Barnard College, Teacher's College, and Union Theological Seminary) with valid borrowing privileges may borrow up to 2 titles at a time for 3 days. Current faculty and officers may borrow up to 2 titles at a time for 7 days. There are no renewals, recalls, or holds. Borrowing privileges do not extend to alumni or visitors.

As of September 2009, more than 2000 of the 17,500 Kim's titles are available for you to check out. Additional titles will continue to be added to CLIO in the months ahead.

Want to find a list of circulating DVDs in CLIO?

• Click on the Pre-set Limits button on the main CLIO search screen.
• Select Library Location: Butler Media (Circulating), 208 Butler. 
• Click on the Set Limits button and return to search page. Pre-set limits will work on keyword and title searches.

Want to see what’s new in the Butler Media Collection?

Click on the Recent Acquisitions tab in CLIO, then select Butler Media from the Locations list.

You can limit your list to the DVDs and videorecordings added in the last week, past 2 weeks, or past 4 weeks.

Lists can be sorted by call number, author, or title.

Optionally, you can add a keyword to your search if you are looking for something specific.
