Accessing Global Insight at CU

Global Insight is available in the Watson Library of Business and Economics. Students, faculty and staff of Columbia University are also welcome to download the software required to access Global Insight's database and use it on their own computer. This document will give you information on how to download the software.

Downloading the Application to Access Global Insight

IMPORTANT NOTE: You will need a password after you download the software to connect to Global Insight and download data.

To get the passwords, go to

You must be current Columbia faculty, student, or staff to access this page and also to access Global Insight.

Please do not give out the passwords to anyone not affiliated with Columbia. Doing this jeopardizes our ability to provide this service to you. The passwords are changed three times a year so we can confirm that only Columbia affiliates are using this service.

If you would like to be notified when the Global Insight password changes, email the business library at business@libraries.cul.columbia.edu and ask to be put on the Global Insight mailing list.
